Are on the market for a netbook for one year. Netbooks I owned my friends, the 8.9 "screen, but felt that was too much of a sacrifice. I have the 1005HA three weeks and have not disappointed. Everything is great about. I think even I with my desktop computer less often.
The 1005HA is small enough to be my lap and the type or move from room to room. The keyboard is very useful, type I in good as any desktop keyboard (this was a must-have feature.) The trackpad works well. The screen is bright and crisp. The battery life is enough for me. I have a couple of full-time Navigation and got about five hours on one charge. I mostly surf, iTunes, YouTube, e-mail, word processing and some spreadsheets. The programs are likely to heavier swamp the processor, but I have rarely done things like that. I bought a CT25664AC800 Crucial Technology 2GB 200-pin SODIMM DDR2 PC2-6400 Memory Module and should upgrade as an option is very convenient.
I read about the high number of defective power supplies and I'm keeping a watchful eye on mine. The power brick still very hot, but that is not particularly unusual. I have seen aftermarket compatible power supplies and probably only one of those who buy when you die.
Add an external mouse and I would be very happy with this as a main computer.
