We bought a laptop cheaper, simpler and clearer. We've had for a month and I feel sufficiently qualified as a comment user. This was not the cheapest netbook, the Netbook reasonable, the least expensive at purchase was perhaps two eighty, and was more like fifty all-inclusive (delivered two days), then perhaps seventy more.
Of this additional amount, I wanted a larger screen, battery life and ergonomics of the keyboard.
Productivity has not been a huge advantage, but I felt the keyboard was one of the main outlets for the extra dough.
Skip to now and I can say this: I have more productive "flow" on a traditional laptop with a screen in full size and keyboard. If I try to do the job quickly, I would pay extra money to go to scale, although more slowly.
